About the Kiln

Since its founding as an official kiln of the Hagi domain, the Sakakura Shinbe kiln has kept its fires burning for generations here in Fukawa, Nagato. The ware born of this place is known as Fukawa Hagi. Together with the history and natural character of the land handed down to us, we devote ourselves to our craft each day.
